AT&T VoiceMail Service offers "interrupted" tone, or stutter tone as a message waiting indicator. Stutter tone availability is based on your area code and first three digits of your telephone number within your LATA. View a
map of your local toll calling area.
New AT&T VoiceMail Service customers living in areas where stutter tone is available will automatically have stutter tone activated on their line.
Existing AT&T VoiceMail Service customers living in areas where stutter tone is available will need to contact an AT&T Local Service Representative to request stutter tone on their line.

Unheard or skipped messages will be kept 20 days for AT&T VoiceMail Service and 30 days for AT&T VoiceMail Plus Service.
Note: There will not be a notice of deletion warning for unheard or skipped messages.
Saved voicemail messages will be kept 30 days for AT&T VoiceMail Service and 40 days for AT&T VoiceMail Plus Service.

To enroll in this option, you must set this up via the https://vm.att.com website. Follow the link for Settings and then Pager Notification.
Autoplay is an advanced feature of your AT&T VoiceMail Service. This feature allows you to play your messages without any key actions from you. You will still have the option to save or delete each message. To activate or deactivate the Autoplay feature, from the Main Menu: Press 4, 2, 1 and follow the prompts.
Yes. You can access AT&T VoiceMail online at https://vm.att.com.
To change your greeting, dial your AT&T VoiceMail Service access number and enter your voicemail box number. At the Main Menu: press 3, 1 to change your personal greeting.

Sub Mailboxes allow AT&T VoiceMail Plus Service users to create up to 3 additional private mailboxes within your own mailbox for family members and/or business associates who receive calls on your phone. Each Sub Mailbox functions as a private mailbox with its own password and greeting. (Only the user of the main mailbox will receive pager notification of the new messages left in the main mailbox and/or the Sub Mailboxes.)

You can send a message to more than one person by creating a Group Distribution List. Group members must also be AT&T VoiceMail Service subscribers.

Contact an AT&T Local Service Representative to change the number of times the phone rings before the voicemail service takes the call.
No. AT&T VoiceMail Service comes with 4 minutes of message recording time and AT&T VoiceMail Plus Service comes with 5 minutes of message recording time, which cannot be altered in any way.
Can I send a message to another AT&T VoiceMail Service subscriber without ringing that subscriber's phone?
Yes, you can easily send messages to other AT&T VoiceMail Service subscribers in your home area.
Note: This will only work with other AT&T VoiceMail Service customers.
